Acknowledgments

We process freely available model data from various weather services. ICON maps are based on data from Deutscher Wetterdienst, gridded data reproduced graphically. Our web pages also contain analyses and prediction charts under the heading: "Fax charts". This charts come from the Deutsche Wetterdienst and the British Met Office. We would particularly like to thank the Deutsche Wetterdienst for the data and products provided. Further thanks go to the National Centre for Environmental Prediction (USA), the Met Office (UK), the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, Environment Canada, Météo--France and the Japan Meteorological Agency.     At the Extrem Weather Congress (German: ExtremWetterKongress) in February 2009 in Bremerhaven, Germany, the web page wetter3.de was awarded with the "Media Award for Meteorology 2009" (German: "Medienpreis für Meteorologie") in the category "Best Web Application". Moreover the well-known weather moderator of German TV channel ZDF, Gunther Tiersch, received the Award in the category "best moderation".
